About this deal

This is a novel that will quickly hook you and keep you glued to the pages as the story slowly unfolds. We have a number of important things to discuss today,” I tell them, “the first of which is readily apparent. Catherine takes off from the party, walking home when she is chased down my Charlie in a car, a car that isn't hers, its Catherines. About half way through I became invested and needed to find out what would happen to Cat and her family.

I pretend and pretend and pretend until the world becomes so breathtaking behind my eyelids that I can no longer contain it. But who knew the secret she shared with the murder victim who she hadn't seen in the 17 years since they left high school? This book hit the ground running, held me captive throughout, spitting me out at the end completely satisfied. Separated from her husband when he cheated on her with another woman, she is just getting past her anxiety and body issues. Spoilers prevent me from saying more about the majority but I did sort of warm to Cat mostly although I did not agree with some of the things she did along the way - she showed herself to be alternately smart and naive - but I guess they were necessary to progress the story.Destroy Me takes place after Juliette seduces and shoots Warner and escapes from The Reestablishment with Adam in the first book. This allows you to see what Warner is thinking since Shatter Me is told from Juliette’s point of view. And I felt it then: this strange, inexplicable sense that she might be the only person in the world I could really care about. She recently completed the Curtis Brown writing course where she found her love of writing psychological thrillers. Warner proposed to Juliette two weeks ago and wants nothing more than to marry her, but there is not time for a wedding amidst the chaos surrounding them.

The book starts right when Aaron got shot in his right arm by Juliette when she was trying to escape. But then his father arrives and it becomes apparent that he has very different plans for Juliette that Warner can’t stand back and let happen. The writing is just so-so but sometimes you don’t want something super flowery and detailed and you just want to follow the plot to figure out what the heck happened. I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy realistic mystery thrillers, who enjoy identifying with characters all the while still being surprised by the overall outcome of said character's tale.I pretty much whizzed through this book in just a couple of sittings - would have probably read start to finish in one if I hadn't had to sleep and go to work! Perfect for the fans of Shatter Me who are desperately awaiting the release of Unravel Me, this novella-length digital original will bridge the gap between these two novels from the perspective of the villain we all love to hate, Warner, the ruthless leader of Sector 45. Juliette managed to escape The Reestablishment by seducing Warner and leaving him with a near-fatal bullet wound.
