I'd suggest stopping when you get to about ten trolls around your abomination (which, really, is usually about as many as you can collect before the meatbag is near death anyway).

I'd vent in guild chat about this being the worst quest in the game, and of course I'd get useless suggestions of "lol dont fart before u explode". Set the Abomb to passive on follow all the time, you lead the way and fart to take agro, when abombs health is getting low just blow.

anyways I accidently put set focus on a abomination after charming it, seemed to solve the problem for me, was getting killcredit everytime I blew something up. As people in this thread have said before and since, the only thing you need to do to get 100% credit is resist spamming the buttons.

Comment by 52314I was having the same problem which people discribe here, not getting credit for the kills.doesn't matter how many you seem to aggro or whether you have the abom on passive or not, the majority of the time, you still end up with the same amount of troll kills as the last bout. I ended up detonating the abom early a few times, because a player decided it would be fun to try and explode the trolls I had tagged, as well as giving me knockback damage.
