About this deal
Generally, issues with Morphy Richards Soup Maker come from not knowing quite how to use and maintain your machine.
It has a stainless steel body, the controls are in the lid, and there are 4 settings, smooth, chunky, juice or blend. With a heating power of 1000 W, this soup maker efficiently heats and blends ingredients to create smooth and delicious soups. In truth, this is likely to be a short term problem if you’re anything like me, as it was only the novelty value early on that triggered me to check it – once that wore off I just let it be! Then place them inside the soup maker and fill with cold water and choose either the smooth or chunky setting.
In short, this means that it won't overcook most ingredients (which would cause them to break down) while still properly cooking them. One negative point that’s been raised several times is that people would like to be able to check on progress. Try not to turn to a scourer in the first instance, as you might damage the finish of the internal surface of your soup maker. We found it may need a little more effort depending on what’s been cooked, but it’s certainly not been necessary to spend a lot of effort scrubbing!
Donal Morphy was an electrical engineer and Charles Richards was a salesman who combined their knowledge and started this now well known company. There are also frequently asked questions, a product rating and feedback from users to enable you to optimally use your product. There’s nothing quite like that blank feeling of not being quite sure what to do, so it’s good to know that Morphy Richards have thought carefully about making the 48822 control panel simple to use.
