About this deal

For the first time in the movie’s 45 year history, NECA is happy to announce a brand new 8″ Clothed figure featuring the licensed likeness of Roy Schneider as Chief Martin Brody from the 1975 classic. We are still getting Quint, and we know that the Great White Shark is on its way, wouldn't it be rude for us not to have an in-scale Orca to go with it. This 2-pack will include the pair in 6-inch scale, with machete and harpoon spear accessories for Quint and an extra fin for the shark. I don't know if this is a tease for Bruce or something else but hopefully we will get more details on Monday (7/19) when they have their Comic-Con at home panel which starts at 1pm ET. Standing at 8″ tall, the young oceanographer is equipped with screen-accurate accessories (two hats, duffel bag, cup, and crushed cup) as well as swappable heads and tailored clothing.

NECA has just released new information and images for the new Jaws Shark Cage Matt Hooper 8″ action figure. NECA's Quint was a triumph, but now the action figure and collectable manufacturer have released a second member of the Orca's crew, Matt Hooper. The 2009 film reimagined Jason in a different (but still terrifying) light, and this figure is extra-detailed to match. As you can see from the release notes above, the figure is estimated to release sometime in September. Richard Dreyfuss’ young oceanographer is one of the most beloved characters in cinema history, so when NECA announces a new action figure version we stand up and take notice.

Our trips to Martha's Vineyard had been cancelled, our tickets to see The Shark Is Broken were now just bits of paper, even Bruce at the Academy Museum kept on being pushed back, currently expected at the end of September 2021. We also get a second Hooper head, so he'll at least be able to scare himself until we get a Ben Gardner's head.

The Friday the 13th Ultimate Jason Voorhees 7-Inch Scale Action Figure features two interchangeable heads (one has a removable mask) and an extra-articulated Ultimate body, plus loads of accessories: machete, axe, fire poker, hammer, and screwdriver. Going by first glance, that almost bow-legged stance isn't screen accurate, which may also be irksome to a few. Standing at 8″ tall, the seasoned shark hunter is equipped with screen accurate accessories and tailored clothing. It's genuinely hard not to get excited by that prospect, there was never any mention of a Hooper - with or without screen accurate city hands - and we can only guess why the Brody figure is current no longer on the cards. This deluxe 7-inch scale action figure features over 25 points of articulation and comes with 4 unique, interchangeable heads to represent different dreams (bloody mask, resurrection mask, grave mask and a special mask based on the one-sheet poster).Bonus: includes an extra left hand with split fingers that can be used with this figure or the Ultimate Part 4 Jason (sold separately)! About a year ago NECA said they were working on a Bruce The Shark figure that would be in scale or close to it with their 8" Retro Jaws figures they have been doing, which likely would be released directly by them online in some way. In some images you can see his oxygen tank, but that doesn't seem to come with this figure, nor does his shark tracker or pretzel, which is a little disappointing. They have released new details and images for an all-new 8″ clothed action figure of Matt Hooper from Steven Spielberg’s JAWS.
