Holding the blasters as still as possible, I aimed for one of those blocks and noted where the darts actually landed.

Instructions are easy to follow, gun is easy to load (also has a handy opening at the top in case any bullets get stuck) the rapid fire is awesome and the bullets shoot so far! My son absolutely loves this, he has lots of other nerf Guns but this is his fave as it really packs a punch when firing. I further tested by putting 1′ radius target roughly 10′ in the air, on a similarly wide tree 60′ away, and waited until there wasn’t any wind. This will probably involve firing a lot of them in an indoor arena where underfoot abuse is assured.

However the issues arrived when we played with it, although this holds around 28 ‘bullets’ and was meant to have a constant fire ability unfortunately no matter how precise I was with the insertion of the bullets there was at least 2 or 3 on every round that got stuck and meant play had to stop while I rectified the issue. On the one hand, Ultra One is a brand new blaster that, combined with its new, proprietary ammo, outperforms other Nerf dart blasters.The instructions could have been abit clearer for assembly ie all the different languages separated better. This system requires both tight mechanical tolerances and consistent dart loading – the last of which probably explains my issues at the launch party.
