Cats sit on mats, hares sit on chairs, mules sit on stools and gofers sit on sofas, but Frog does not want to sit on a log! I thought this would be a hit for parents and kids alike at my storytime -- combining the familiar and novel animals for small children with the funny illustrations.

I don't think this story has a moral, per se, but it does a great job with humorous pictures and rhymes. A hilarious rhyming story which has animals sitting on more and more unlikely things, all in the interests of rhyme.was Jim's first picture book, and his vibrant, energetic style and witty detail delighted children and adults alike. Ks1 children would enjoy this and you could get them to think of lots of animals and what they might sit on.
