The Olympus Trooper 10x50 is advertised as having a "wide-angle view" for "keeping up with fast moving subjects. A great field of view, probably equal or better than many other roofs and porros for 10x magnification.This means if you want a longer magnification but are worried you might not be able to hold it steady, getting a pair with image stabilisation will mean you can comfortably use a longer magnification pair with ease. As mentioned above, the Olympus Trooper 10x50 provides one of the crispest and clearest images of all of the binoculars tested. The black finish has the look of quality, while a special rubber coating makes handling more comfortable. I need to pull the rubber eye-cups down to see the entire field of view, which bugs me a lot while birding. Designed to withstand the elements, the 8x42 Magellan binoculars from Olympus also make great wildlife, sports and general use binoculars.
