It features in fragrances such as Leather Oud (Dior), Oud Ispahan (Dior), Songe d’Un Bois en Eté (Guerlain), and Oud Palao (Diptyque). It’s certainly not weak and has above average longevity, but it’s not as monsterous as Oud Ispahan and not as skanky as Leather Oud. As soon as it went on, I thought to myself how this was too bitter, and it didn't really develop over its life to persuade me.

The orange creates a pleasant sweet citrus accord, but it is short-lived, what remains is the spiciness of the pink pepper and saffron and combined create a bittersweet spice, slightly leathery, and earthy accord. This was inescapable in the late 2000's to early 2010's till Baccarat Rude (I did not misspell that, deal with it) and its betadine meets cherry car freshener skank permeated the planet. With a playful spirit, I "stole" her Black Orchid bottle (and started using it too), a lighthearted gesture that mirrored my growing attachment to her. Therefore, it is useful to have an idea of the different types of oud synthetics currently in use and where you might encounter them. It wouldn't be the right choice for those who don't like to draw attention and prefer the conventional.

Intrigued to see if I would like it, I decided to see if I could track down an older bottle and I managed to obtain a 2010 bottle.The fragrance is relatively linear, the opening has a delectable sweet orange touch, but it dissipates towards the dry down, also, towards the dry down, the oud relaxes a bit, the harshness of that initial combustible or gasoline vibe subsides a bit, but the note remains dark and bold. You have to wait about 20 minutes for the DNA of this fragrance to reveal itself, and it is unquestionably a take on the Stronger With You line. Wild Agallocha trees are almost extinct in Assam, for instance, and yet the hunger for Hindi oil is as strong as ever. Not similar in terms of scent, more to the vibe i get when wearing both due to their sweet spicy, powdery vanilla and subtle leathery nature.

Folks new to the artisanal oud scene are on a learning curve where details aren’t clear cut but do matter.Real nice unique scents that give extremely well blende wearable leather scent, I sampled others but the only ones that caught my attention was noir extreme EDP and black orchid EDP. We no longer need the original tree when we have what we think is the recipe for what made oil from that tree smell so good.
