Curiously, seems to have a USB symbol on both sides, thus making it more of a pain to insert the correct way around. Station list looks fine (has recent additions), but get identical upgrade message to before when tuning to DAB+ stations.

Whether that’s an internet radio with incorporated DAB and DAB+ technology or an outdoor or smart speaker. I would suggest contacting Imagination Technologies directly as they may be able to advise you further.

It’s still not going to challenge the Evoke series on style, but if that’s a big turn-off that’s something you can tell just from a picture or two. although wonder if, as software has been replaced, it could have been rephrased or prompted me to enter the key.

Correctly guess how to enter it (turning the dial to select the number and A-F – obvious – then pressing the button in to advance to the next one – perhaps not quite so obvious to all). You should be able to enter the serial number using a tablet or smartphone and see if there is a DAB+ update for your radio.

Note that they could have just trimmed the first 16 characters of the response or limited the maximum length of the text field. There is also the option of installing a virtual machine and an old version of Windows if you have an old Windows license around, then attaching the USB device to the virtual machine.

If you can stomach the extra cash, the Evoke 1S offers a more attractive design and warmer sound, but we do think this second series model represents a significant upgrade over the original 2008 One Mini. There's not a lot of bass weight, though this isn't the biggest surprise considering the size, but otherwise there's much to like in this ultra-portable Mini Pure.I am trying it under various compatibility modes to see if that's the problem (running Win 10 at the moment). If just DAB+ stations cannot be received this could be because the unlock process has not been completed. If there is you could try contacting a local TV or electronics repairer and ask if they can perform the software update.
