Although Gawdat deserves some praise for making the topic easily accessible to read, I nonetheless have left this book with the impression that he is little more than a rhapsodic evangelist for the broad and frankly dodgy brand of 'AI. With discussions on psychology, technology, education, economics, engineering, philosophy and more, this book has something for everyone!We’ve become so irresponsible, or at least we’ve become so hooked up in our complexity that we’re unable to simplify life in a way that goes back to the simple morality. And I think with artificial intelligence, this is happening for today it seems to be very primitive. I mean, again, with enough intelligence and enough understanding of nano physics, you can simply see an item or an object form in front of your eyes from thin air. If it has our best interests in mind, it will say Mummy and Daddy are the problem, but I love Mummy and Daddy, so I might as well find a way for them to go and serve in Australia without burning fuel.I am missing a bit a clear explanation of what technological development still needs to happen before AI really outsmarts humans in a broad sense and really starts achieving its own goals that were not set by humans. Now consider that AI will be WAY more dangerous and WAY less manageable and WAY WAY more profitable. AI will be our extremely smart children and the only way to raise them properly will be for humans to be positive role models.
