About this deal

As a guide, provide each pet with at least their own body size in fresh guinea pig feeding hay every day. I like the fact is also got herbs dandelion, nettle and fennel included and doesnt have any colouring. Science Selective Guinea Pig helps to prevent selective feeding as the high quality ingredients are blended into pellets and are highly palatable.

This range of food for small herbivores - that's rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and degus - are carefully blended with a balance of short and long fibres, as well as natural prebiotics to help optimise digestive health.

I give it *for taste (yum) *for being colouring free, as Supreme wouldn't give me the figures to work out if it had the optimal Calcium and Phosphorus (Ratio actually means nothing! Scattering some of their daily portion around their accommodation is also a great idea as it encourages their natural foraging behaviour and will keep them happily busy. Place the nuggets in a gnaw-proof ceramic bowl, so your guinea pigs don’t scare themselves by accidentally knocking it over!

Guinea pigs need the company of another guinea pig to keep them happy – they play together and snuggle up together and will often ‘talk’ to each other. They aren't too picky about which bits they choose (unlike BSGE which they are picky about) and just seem to love it! It is very beneficial but the one hang-up with it is that it is alfalfa-based menaing it is notably higher in calcium and protein. It is high in fibre to help promote healthy teeth and tummies and has added vitamin C to help keep your guinea pig in the very best of health. My guinea pigs have come on leaps and bounds since I have had them on it, after being fed rubbish mixed food at the breeders. Always use a flea treatment that is suitable for rabbits – your vet can provide you with advice about treatment and future prevention. I used to feed Burgess but my current pigs don't like the blackcurrant ones and his dodgy tum can't have the mint ones. Mine like the excel piggy food but i have just changed the rabbits onto Science Selective as Excel have changed their pellets and they have gone really small. I don't feed it but only because I had issues several times with my boars getting them stuck over their teeth because of the holes.
