This novel is told from multiple perspectives, the omniscient narrator jumps between characters to reveal the entire tale. Blood tests are not needed, as blood glucose, electrolytes, and endocrine screening findings are normal.

I usually love monster horror novels like this to be a little more ambiguous, but this is a pretty straight forward monster slasher horror novel that reads like a horror movie and it's just so intense and so fast paced and I LOVED IT. Why Pietro so is alarmed is not revealed at first, but it is clear he expects more earthquakes of increasing power to strike. I feel like a few simple cues from an editor would have been enough to remedy the issues in this book. SPOILER WARNING: Like many creature-features, this book starts with the deaths of some characters we’ll never hear about again. Her characters' lives are on the line, and even though many of them were not as drawn out as I would have liked, even though I knew that all the good people were more than likely to survive, I was still very invested in their well being and success.I'm often surprised at how hard it is for authors to build high enough stakes, but Sharon Shinn seems to have very little problem making them as high as they can be.

This book reads like a Game of Thrones story, I didn't see many things coming, it made for one of the best book in bed weekend's I've had in a while, a nice cold glass of beer didn't hurt, I was seriously worried and sweating bullets for the characters as things went from bad to worse. The twitching savage looked just like his father had described: all awkward angles, nothing but skin and teeth. There’s something lurking in the woods, observing them, coming closer and closer to the cabin and it’s hungry. I loved the imaginative world she has created here and loved the apocalyptic feel of it, with the action taking place amongst constant earthquakes. The streaming service offers original films, TV series—such as Creepshow, based on the 1982 film same of the name—and documentary series.At first, I wasn't even sure if I liked it, the characters felt kind of cliché and cringe-y, but after a few chapters I got hooked.
