I strongly believe after nuclear war the only things that will survive are cockroaches and headlice.I'm all for using any shampoo if you feel that it will deter nits , as long as you continue to comb and conditioner. After having a bad infestation in my own hair let alone my daughters I would not use anything else, as I never want to go through that again!

If you're not one of our testers but have used the product we'd still love to know what you thought - just mention you're not a tester and where you bought the product from. All you lot swearing by the vosene shampoo its much more likely to be the conditioner and the combing through with the nit comb thats keeping the nit comb at bay rather than the actual shampoo. The smell was OK - a bit insect repellanty - which I suppose is exactly what it is - but in quite a nice way - wouldn't say I love it though!Well we haven't had headlice so far so hard to tell if the repellant works but my oldest's best friend had them and so far she hasn't got them so maybe it does. The oldest says it smells of lemon and the youngest isn't really bothered by that sort of thing yet! Phoned around everyone who has been in recent contact with dd4 to inform them , and ask them to do head checks on their children ( and themselves) . The Minor Ailments service will probably fall under Urgent Care, the budget for this will be held by the GPs or possibly the Foundation Trusts who are not known for their fondness for community pharmacy!

And the smell is just gorgeous, though slightly medicinal i have to say but i quite like that kinda smell for some strange reason! Not every PCT will commission, some will commission for the whole area or in the case of the town I live and work in you have to be registered with a GP and live in the most deprived area of the town.I have to say though that it is a great shampoo - it contains conditioner and is the only 2in1 that seems to leave my daughters hair feeling soft! I can't say what effect it has on head lice, as my children have never caught them yet, but hopefully it will repel any that want to live on their heads.
