Published by Activision and developed by High Moon Studios, Next Level Games and Vicarious Visions, the games are rooted in the Aligned continuity family. Jim Daly, Lead Concept Artist at High Moon also cited the G1 universe as the main inspiration for the design of Cybertron itself, also stating that there were elements from Disney's TRON, Blade Runner, and the Aliens franchise. T. System weapons ports in bot and vehicle modes allow fans to attach weapons to figure in custom weapon configurations. Grimlock challenged him to a fight to decide whether to join up, but Swoop's capture by Decepticons sent the Autobots off on a rescue mission instead. However, there seems to be a limit to the size of the Hyperspace Arsenal, as the characters can't carry BFGs taken from turrets around with them. War for Cybertron received generally favorable reviews, with many viewing it as an improvement over past Transformers games. Ratchet believes it to be a trap instead (course, he was actually half right: Zeta wasn't dead, but the message was orchestrated by the Decepticons as a trap).
