Description

With the decrease of the display size and the increase of its resolution, the pixel density increases. Power supply and consumption Information about the power supply and consumption, energy efficiency class, etc. This subreddit is for News, Reviews, or high quality discussions related to Monitors and Display Technologies. The 27GN950 also comes with HDR600 support, which means it can produce up to 600 nits peak brightness when using just one of the HDR zones.

If you're not a fan of gaming on the enormous OLED monitors that have been available in the past but want high refresh rates and the visuals of OLED, this might be what you've been waiting for. In games you still get the extra saturation on the GN850 but I know many people play with boosted digital vibrance so this could be a plus for them. General Display Type LED-backlit LCD monitor / TFT active matrix Energy Class Class G Energy Class (HDR) Class G Diagonal Size 27" Adaptive-Sync Technology AMD FreeSync, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible Panel Type Nano IPS Aspect Ratio 16:9 Native Resolution QHD 2560 x 1440 at 144 Hz Pixel Pitch 0.As the GL850, GN850 and GL83A are all within 10€ for me and the GL850 is always sold-out, the GN850 seems like the best deal overall. You'll have to adjust image settings to suite but coming from years of using a TN panel I can definitely tell the difference. No issues with input lag, latency, or motion blur and both monitors feel no different than the Dell (which is a good thing, that monitor was excellent in those regards).

Display Information about the main characteristics of the display - panel, backlight, resolution, refresh rate, etc. The vertical frequency/refresh rate shows how many times in a second the image on the screen is refreshed. They're both 1440p monitors with a native 144Hz refresh rate, but the ASUS can be overclocked to 165Hz. Experience crystal-clear visuals at 2560 x 1440 resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate in sleek Black. Dropping down to 120Hz fixes this and that's fine by me (so not as good as a dedicated Gsync unit built in but good enough).I used the GL83A side-by-side with the Dell S2716DG for about a week and the GL83A is definitely the winner here. The 32GP850 has a slightly faster refresh rate, better reflection handling, and it has an optional black frame insertion feature to reduce persistence blur.
