This bed linen feels undeniably soft and incredibly supple, with a lightly textured handfeel similar to linen. Hemp is an incredibly strong fibre and doesn't 'give' in the same way as linen so it keeps its shape better with less 'bagging' than you'd expect to see on linen bedding. Hemp Bedding is produced from the stem of the hemp plant and is dried and cut to length to produce a fibrous substrate that absorbs moisture well. A 100% natural substrate, Hemp Bedding is made from the dried chopped stem of the hemp plant to form a highly absorbent, dust free and odourless material.

The AubiChick brand is a finer particle size, which is super comfortable for your chickens, but since it is a finer size, it inevitably has a bit more dust.This substrate needs to be replaced completely every 2-3 weeks, potentially more frequently if you notice it has become wet or heavily soiled, and spot-cleaning needs to be done daily. This bed linen has gone through some serious testing with a special focus on colour fastness, durability and washability. AubiChick creates a perfect soft and cosy bed for your chickens, ducks, geese in fact is great for all types of bird! Horses are not usually tempted to eat Aubiose but as they can be inquisitive we recommend the bed be sprinkled with a weak solution of safe disinfectant when first laid.
