The views in the 15x70 were very nice, but the views in the Canon were truly magnificent with sharper stars, ultra-flat field, many well-defined faint stars, and absolute steadiness. The Pentax 12 x 50’s I have and use with a trigger grip monopod set up, serve me well but as we all do, I was thinking the Canon’s could beat this in “hand held” mode ?

Bright, tack-sharp, high contrast images with snap-to-focus rival some of the best binocs out there and the image stabilization has to be tried to be believed.
