The director's cut is a better film, but when you're starting at zero, the only way is up, and that's just not enough reason to dedicate even more of your life to sitting through this again. Just those alone add enough to the experience to be worth it; with the other nine+ minutes of extra footage teased to be in the film, who knows what else awaits? While it was used to tease the movie, it was ultimately cut from the theatrical release because of concerns about length. Jurassic World Dominion enjoys both cuts on the 4K disc, the theatrical cut and the director's preferred extended cut which is around 14 minutes longer.

Thanks to Random Space Media - 3D Blu-ray fanatics have a reason to power up the dusty old 3DTV or projector and slap on some glasses! Consequently, ‘Dominion’ falls far short of what is could be; yet, perhaps due to the charisma of its leads, remains a largely entertaining romp. The latest blockbuster arrives on Digital, 4K Ultra HD, and Blu-ray™ on August 16 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. So, for Dominion they went all-out, bringing back Colin Trevorrow (again, like Abrams for Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker), as well as the entire core trio from the original Jurassic Park, and pushing more dinosaurs than ever before, as well as the franchise's longest runtime by some margin, with the Director's original cut (abbreviated for theatrical release) now finding its way to home formats. Even Jurassic World had good elements of this, but sadly Dominion lacks this key element and replaces it with way too much overblown action.

The story of humans trying to co-habit with dinosaurs offers much to play with – the greed of business opportunity and its tension with conservationism – yet the narrative wriggles desperately back into the box framed more masterfully in ‘Park’ and ‘World’ – that of humans trapped with dinosaurs in an enclosed nature reserve.
