I think the hero did what he thought was expected of him as a functioning man, to try and prove it to himself. Thank you Stacy for this sad, funny, romantic, sweet, wicked and steamy story of two lonely souls finding each other. She also pauses weightily every 3 or 4 words and even listening at 2 times speed she sounded slow and weird. I also loved how we met the other Sinful Wallflowers throughout this story and got hints about what was happening in their lives, and their own devious plans of action.

Uh oh the h has an unexpected meeting with the H in a very public setting, the meeting is unusual for both of the MCs. Its a story that conveys the tenderness of an intimate relationship and portrays the value of intimacy being more than just sexual need, that the emotional connection can only make those sexual moments sweeter. His heart exists in cold, lonely exile, until he learns he has a fiancée—a deceptive, clever, and utterly intriguing woman he's never met. Diary entries fancifully addressed to TV host Ellen DeGeneres serve as flashbacks to Lily’s teenage years, when she met her first love, Atlas Corrigan, a homeless boy she found squatting in a neighbor’s house. I'd give it a spicy rating of 3 out of 5 - a few choicr but well written scenes, the plot is the real draw here.

The duke, Alexander, has shut himself off from almost everything, but is intrigued by Katherine and wants to learn more about her.

This could've been a great opportunity to show that a HEA doesn't have to require genetic children or penetrative intercourse, because that's absolutely achievable, but instead it left me feeling very displaced. It it actually sounds like artificial intelligence robot voice, overly breathy and little intonation in keeping with the sentence.The writing in this book is great, and I loved getting into the inner monologue of both our characters. Kitty’s friends, the ‘Sinful Wallflowers’ were such a cute bunch, I honestly can’t wait to read their stories. I think if you enjoy fewer descriptions in historicals and less authentic historical feels then this one will definitely work in many ways for you.

Not to mention the servants and how much they adore their master but are isolated because of his as well (I do always find the adoring servants a bit strange in these books - it makes them feel like lapdogs). Despite the better option right in front of her, an unexpected complication forces Lily to cut ties with Atlas, confront Ryle, and try to end the cycle of abuse before it’s too late. And so, she declares herself fiancée of Alexander Masters (30), Duke of Thornton, a recluse who hasn’t been seen by the ton for many years.The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal.

This could have been an opportunity for sex scenes that normalized non-penetrative sex, especially since Kitty is a clueless virgin with only a vague sense of the male anatomy.
